Prayer For My People

God bless Poland, I am so sorry to hear about the tragedy that happened in my country. I have changed nationality and love the USA, but Poland is still the place where I grew up, where I learned my values, place where I run around and played and become who I am today. Polish political landscape was the main ingredient in shaping my views and my beliefs. Being raised Catholic with family with very strong moral values I learned from an early age how to distinguish the undercover evil forces of our socialistic system. I remember listening to the elders in our family reminisce and talk about the times when the country was free, they talked about the ones who died in the fight for freedom not only in the WWII but also by being imprisoned for their beliefs. They talked about keeping the fight alive. we did it when I was in College. I remember the tanks going by my dorms with ZOMO(militarized police) marching on the streets below my 15 Th storey building. We would pick up whatever metal utensils we could find and bang on the outside window sill making unbelievable racket. It took a lot of nerve and we risk being expelled, but we contributed to the freedom fight, the students the young generation was not standing on the sidelines watching. I love my fellow country man who defeated socialism and today for the first time in contemporary world this brave people, in the beautiful but humble country are facing tragedy of immense proportion. Today all the political aspects are put on a shelf, not for long, but out of respect for them and out of love for my country of birth I look into my heart and pray for their strenght and wisdom in days to come. it is the day I dedicate my thoughtsto my beautiful homeland POLAND. May the Lord bless you and may the awesome people stand together and rebuild their leadership with God's help and nation's blessing of approval.
I love you all and hold hands with those in need, embrace those who are in sorrow and pain join with all in a time of mourning.
